And for gods sake, put some damned filters in the import window, so I don’t have to manually exclude 150 videos from the 1000 photos I need!

as a final condemnation of the experience, I’ll note that iPhone imports to iMovie require more supervision than my 3.5 year old toddler…

Dropbox / other generic cloud storage tools = trapped in the file metaphor: still have to party like its [Windows] [19]95 in their universe.

Apple iCloud / photo stream / whatever service is opaque junk, with an impossibly tangled mental model, and has been since it launched.
