@ChrisRisdon Tracking the specific design <> pm ratio spotlights a group’s ability to do effective customer and experience centered discovery and learning. (Yes, all disciplines are involved in these, but skill profiles and efforts obviously often differ.)

@ChrisRisdon Two main goals for this: 1) Better ratio of design-focused staff to all people and activity in a program (more designers, we hope). And 2) Design staff aren’t necessarily exclusively bound to a Scrum team or pod; mappings can be adaptive based on impact (…it depends).

@ChrisRisdon I count *everyone who’s part of delivery* – so all of engineering, QA, program level roles, etc. And I include a direct product management to design ratio, as well as a combined pm + design : everyone in delivery ratio (to reinforce need for proper discovery / dual track models).
